• Thank you everyone

Tuesday night I called John Litten to congratulate him on his re-election. I kept my commitment to run a positive, issues-oriented campaign from start to finish and for that I am very proud. I appreciate all the help and support from my amazing volunteer team. As a city, we have many different ideas and viewpoints, but we can achieve so much more when we are all united as neighbors together. Thank you, Lakewood, from the bottom of my heart!

  • Rep. Mike Skindell: Jeff Wise will get results

State Representative Michael J. Skindell has served our community on Lakewood City Council, and in the Ohio House and Senate. The endorsement of someone who has been there for Lakewood, for years, is a tremendous honor. Jeff Wise will listen to residents’ concerns, and get results on city council. His experience working in the state legislature prepared him well to be highly effective on council. He will stand up for residents of Ward 3, and make a positive difference as your representative. I’m proud to endorse Jeff for Lakewood City Council, and encourage you to Vote Wise on November 5. State Representative Michael J. Skindell

  • 27-year-resident: “I Support Jeff Wise For Council”

Every campaign is an opportunity to make a difference in the community, and I am proud to say that this campaign has made a difference. A letter from longtime resident Julie Nichols in this week’s Lakewood Observer, describing a community meeting I organized and how this was empowering and encouraging, is a great confirmation of the difference we can make together.

In a statement the organization told members that endorsed candidates: will work for more transportation equality, by fighting to bring more public transit to Lakewood, increase funding for local healthcare and bolster the continual greening of Lakewood, so we and our neighbors can stay healthy, and continue to pursue creative solutions for affordable housing. By growing our network of progressive electeds across Ohio, we can start to turn the tide and take back our state. This is an all-hands effort though, and we need your help. Democracy for America CEO Yvette Simpson, herself a former member of Cincinnati City Council, said that Wise and other endorsed candidates will genuinely improve their communities. “The city council candidates we’re endorsing today will not only make sure the potholes are filled and budgets are balanced, they also want to take meaningful municipal action on criminal justice reform, climate change, and income inequality,” said Simpson. Founded in 2004, Democracy for America organizes for progressive issues and candidates throughout the country, following a 50-state strategy. Wise said that the recognition…
